Position : Managing Director based at New York

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Managing Director to control and oversee all business operations, people and ventures. You will be the highest ranking manager in the organization and will be responsible for the overall success of the business.

The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission, and long term goals. Very strong crisis management skills will also be essential since the managing director is the one expected to “save” the company in times of need.

The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.


  • Developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization to business growth and maximum profitability in collaboration with senior personnel;

  • Defining strategy and providing support for new business pursuit to increase and maximize business growth, client network and services and overall business revenue;

  • Providing strategic direction and contributing to forecasting to drive lead generation for new business sales;

  • Managing professional personnel of employees to proactively lead and contribute to the on-going vision of the company; see reiterated below

  • Providing inspirational client service principles and benchmarks to ensure that the company is strategically building strong, long lasting relationships;

  • Overseeing and ensuring that opportunities for new business are developed, pursued and converted for profitable and optimal operations and client satisfaction;

  • Managing and overseeing the implementation of business development, sales and marketing strategies for target local and global markets that ensure attainment of the company’s strategic goals and profitability targets;

  • Keeping abreast of market development and trends by advising and directing collection of data on competitors in target markets and analyzing their business strategies, and methods of marketing and actively networking in order to identify potential opportunities for the company;

  • Developing and managing relationships with key clients within target markets and analyzing existing client network and client relationships and developing strategies for maximum revenue generation from new and existing clients;

  • Monitor the improvement of the operations and overall budget and financial planning;

  • Controlling expenses in relation to business development activities to meet company budget guidelines; and

  • Evaluating overall company performance and the personnel’s performance and guiding to improve the individual and their team performance


  • Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position

  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans

  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance

  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred
